How SentimentSync works
Choose the right account, find the first scores on a real ticket, then decide how to use them inside HubSpot.
1. You connect the intended HubSpot account
Sign in to the HubSpot account you want to connect, with permission to install apps. Review the requested tickets and oauth access before approving. SentimentSync creates its own property group and four ticket properties. Installation uses the direct HubSpot OAuth flow.
- You: check the selected account and requested access
- Four custom properties created in their own group
- SentimentSync: attempts initial scoring of recent tickets within your plan limit

2. You find and review the first result
Open a representative recent ticket in HubSpot. Find the SentimentSync card or search its ticket properties for Sentiment (SentimentSync), Category (SentimentSync), Intent (SentimentSync) and Priority (SentimentSync). Compare the classifications with the ticket text before relying on them. An installed app does not mean every ticket has been scored.
- SentimentSync: attempts up to 20 recent tickets during installation; further backfill stays within plan limits
- You: inspect the card, confidence and rationale against the source ticket
- If results are missing, check the card usage limit and try its re-score action; installation can succeed while initial processing fails

3. You optionally configure a useful view
Start with a ticket view filtered by a reviewed signal, such as negative sentiment. Once the result is useful, configure optional workflows or reports in HubSpot using the four properties. Available workflow and reporting features depend on your HubSpot plan.
- Filter and segment ticket lists by any signal
- Trigger workflows on negative sentiment or churn risk
- Report on category and priority trends
